TARANTULAS (eek a spider) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are my darlin T.s and a daily diary of there care

This is a Steely Blueleg (Pamphobetes antinous)

Spiderguy
on
22nd May 1999

This little guy or gal is 1" from stem to stern. It has now stopped stuffing itself with crickets and has decided, (I think),to molt.

My Very First Tarantula
This is my Chilan Rose Tarantula (Grammostola spatulata) There is some controversy on it's scientific name but she's just Rosy to me. When she is hungry it is very easy to tell. She stands up on all 8 legs and waits for me to toss in a cricket. Recently bred 6/26/99

STEELY BLUE ---Freshly Molted
Molt and T. after 12 hours:
  • After not eating for about 2 weeks Steely decided to molt
  • I had the chance to watch it right from the start. It rolled over on it's back, and lay still for about 1/2 hour, then slowly started to escape from it's skeleton. It is now still letting it's outer skeleton harden. I'll wait for about 4 or 5 days before feeding it.
